The Morning RoomOccupying the south end of Blore’s wing and remodelled by Schomberg Scott. the Morning Room is home to more paintings by such artists as Nasmyth, Ruysdael and Ostade. A portrait of the 7th Marquis who commissioned Blore to rebuild Monteviot and who died aged 47, halting completion of the building work and his mother, the 6th Marchioness by Sir Thomas Lawrence can be seen in this family room.
